Job Title: Site Manager - Security Upgrade (National Grid Competent Person Required)

Location: Kent, UK

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with National Grid Competent Person certification to oversee a security upgrade at an HVDC converter station in Kent. The project includes the installation of CCTV, access control systems, door replacements, and intercom systems. This is a 6 month contract, outside IR35, mobilising on the 12th May.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the security upgrade project.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and budgets.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
  • Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Enforce site safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • National Grid Competent Person certification.
  • Experience in security system installations.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, access control, door hardware, and intercom systems.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of CDM safety regulations and National Grid rules.
